Marc has traversed the long, sometimes challenging, transformational path to elder. An especially difficult path in our Western culture, where “elder” is utterly eclipsed by “older.”

But to become an elder, Marc reopened those innate but often shrouded passages to higher wisdom. While conventional wisdom represents widely accepted societal beliefs, higher wisdom is a deeper, more insightful, and spiritual understanding that transcends the ordinary or common perspectives. Higher wisdom is a profound level of awareness and insight into fundamental truths and eternal principles.

Marc’s book, The Elder Essays: The Thinking and Being of a Contemporary Elder, was written standing squarely on and reporting directly from the foundation of higher wisdom.
